What is the certification process?

Once you have successfully participated in all 200 hours of the Training and completed all required homework assignments by the last day of training, you will receive your certificate.

What if I need to miss some training days?

To receive your certificate at the end of the training, you must attend 100% of the requisite hours to comply with Yoga Alliance requirements. However, we understand that you may not be able to foresee illness, or family obligations. Therefore we will work with you on a case by case basis for you to make up the hours lost. Note that time missed beyond one day may incur additional cost to you and must be made up within the outlined schedule.

How much experience do I need to participate in yoga teacher training?

It is recommended that you have an existing yoga practice but it is not mandatory. You must however, be in good physical and mental health. Please come with an enthusiasm to learn and beginner’s mind to expand any existing skills you have!

I don’t plan on teaching, I just really love yoga, is YTT still for me?

YES! You will learn a lot more about yoga than just teaching it. This course is a combination of deepening your personal yoga practice and learning how to communicate your passion. The confidence you will gain will enhance your overall presence and communication skills. Personal development is an integral and invaluable part of the course. You will also gain the gift of a community to support you in your journey through this training and beyond.

I've already taken a teacher training, what would I get out of another one?

Continuing education for yoga teachers is ongoing. Perhaps you’ve studied another style of yoga with a different teacher? This is your opportunity to learn a complimentary practice. This training will supplement your existing knowledge of yoga and challenge you to up level your teaching and communication skills. You will receive continuing education credits to satisfy your Yoga Alliance re-certification requirements.

Besides the 200 hrs of the training, is there any other time commitment required?

Yes, you will be required to have a consistent yoga practice so that you may begin to integrate the information you are learning. You will be required to practice teach outside of the studio if you plan to receive a certification at the end of the training. There will also be weekly homework assignments that will need to be completed by the following weeks training if you wish to receive a certificate at the end of the training.
